Ugh...

I'm not too worried about the weigh in this week. Why?

Well, TOM arrived on the 24th - yes, I had some holiday treats (not too bad), but I think most of the damage is due to my buddy arriving on the 24th.

I have been working out for 90 minutes a day and doing really good with that. I'm eating okay and have high hopes for this week's weigh in.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been busting my butt at the gym twice a day Monday - Wednesday. In total, I burned around 800+ calories each day. My body felt great - not too sore...just right.

SO WHY DID I EAT HOLIDAY COOKIES LAST NIGHT AS IF THE WORLD WAS ENDING TODAY?

Seriously...what the heck is wrong with me?

Oh, did I mention I was lying awake in bed since 2am dying of cramps? I would like to say that TOM had something to do with the cookie binge, but still...after everything I put my body through this week - you would think I could control myself around those freakin' cookies!

I HAVE TO BE GOOD TODAY AND TOMORROW. I CAN'T AFFORD TO BLOW THIS!

Status Update

Yesterday was GREAT!

Midday workout (I slept in...I'm on vacation!):
  1. 10 min elliptical workout at level 16. HR Avg = 150 (that's good!)
  2. 3 rotations/20 reps each: walking lunges, push ups
  3. 30 Crunches & 30 Reverse crunches
  4. 5 min running on treadmill at speed of 6.0
  5. 3 rotations/20 reps each: tricep pull down, bent over row
  6. Core
  7. 5 min jog around the track

In total, I burned 600 calories.

Evening workout (I said I was determined to get out of the 170's!):

  1. 30 minutes of cardio - 15 min on elliptical, 15 on treadmill

In total, I burned 300 calories.

Total calories burned working out on Monday: 900! Woo hoo!

Yes, I ate...and stayed within my points. I made sure to eat lots of protein, veggies, and drank 3 liters of water.

Today, I hit the gym for an hour and did a similar schedule as yesterday midday, but just targeted different muscles. I plan to do more cardio this evening.

This morning, the scale still says 170...stay tuned...

Born Again WW

I've reflected over my plateau and will take action...

I will be as rigorous as I was when I started WW back in July. I will weigh. I will measure. I will track. I will workout as I always do - just differently.

Tomorrow I will plan a new series of workouts for the coming week.

I will plan out my meals and buy groceries.

I don't care about xmas dinner. I have a tight, strapless dress for NY Eve and I will look GREAT in it.

This means WAR!

AAAGHHHH!!!!

Back in the 170's!!!

171 this morning....

I started weight lifting again this week (Mon and Tues). I'm very sore. Now, I'm very depressed.

AAAGGHHH!!!!!!

I've been tracking. It must be my workouts. I have to shake up EVERYTHING. I've been drinking water. I'm staying within my points.

I feel defeated.

So proud of myself...

I attended a conference these past two days and that means that I had a conference "lunch" for two days and a dinner last night.

I am proud to say that I was VERY good and did not eat the ENTIRE dessert that was provided at each meal. Notice I didn't say "did not EAT the dessert". Yes, I had some dessert - but the key is "some".

Wednesday was carrot cake. I had three bites and pushed it away. It tasted yummy and went well with my coffee, but I realized it was simply not worth it.

Yesterday's lunch was an apple dessert. I ate the apple filling and left the crust.

Last night was chocolate cake. I ate about a 1/4th of it and then pushed it away.

I packed snacked both days so I wouldn't be tempted to buy a muffin at Starbucks, etc.

I'm really determined to hit 165 by the 31st!

Feel like an adolescent again...

Hello!

Long time no write...sorry!

Updates:

Weight = 170 (as of this morning...here we go...roller coaster! Was in the 160's Friday...back to 170)

Workouts = Still doing cardio just to shake things up. I plan to start weight lifting again next week. That will be 3 weeks of cardio - I anticipate sore muscles!

Clothes = Definitely fitting better! I was at a conference today and wore a new black suit with a size MEDIUM (that's right...MEDIUM) blouse! Woo hoo!

Food = Tracking my points like crazy! Energy levels are steady and cravings are down.


Soooooooooo....I need advice.

Due to the cardio workouts and LOTS of SWEATING lately - my face is breaking out like CRAZY! I'm talking BAD.

Any tips on your favorite skin care products for this sort of thing?
